The Vegueros brand was launched in 1996 to pay homage to the great cigar traditions of Cuba’s Pinar del Rio region. The Entretiempos is a Petit Edmundo format cigar 4.375” in length with a 52 ring gauge. The wrapper is a handsome light brown and has a smooth, oily finish. The cigar is hand-rolled in the traditional style in Pinar del Rio with locally grown tobacco.
The cigar has a mild spicy smell on the cold draw. The first third of the smoke develops a savory lemongrass taste with a light, herbaceous retrohale. The second third increases the spicy flavors, with notes of nutmeg and freshly cracked pepper. The final third is the strongest, with herbal flavors and hits on citrus. Despite its generous ring gauge, the cigar burns well and shouldn’t require any touch ups. This is the perfect accompaniment for a glass of good Cuban rum or to enjoy on a long, warm evening.
