The Vegueros Mañanitas is a Petit Belicoso format cigar rolled in the traditional style of the Pinar del Rio region of Cuba. It is hand-rolled in Pinar del Rio using only locally grown tobacco, and it comes in at 4” long with a ring gauge of 46. The wrapper is an oily Colorado claro, with a firm springy texture and few veins for a smooth draw on every puff and few touch ups from beginning to end.
The cigar has an earthy aroma on the cold draw, with woody hints at the foot. The first third has a bright flavor with spice and a subtly sweet top note. The retrohale is mild with a hay flavor, accented by a hint of citrus. The second third is noticeably spicier, with pepper and cinnamon flavors over a strong earth base. The final third is stronger, finishing with full-body creaminess. The cigar is complex, flavorful, and good with savory foods and red wine.
