History
The Robaina family has been farming tobacco in the famous Vuelta Abajo region in Cuba since 1845. But as a tribute to the many generations of tobacco growers, Don Alejandro Robaina founded his own cigar brand in 1997 and named it ‘Vegas Robaina.’
Don Alejandro was most famous for his skills as a tobacco farmer. Each year, at least 80% of his harvest was deemed fit for use as a Cuban cigar wrapper leaf, whereas other plantations may be lucky to use even 35% of theirs. Sadly, Don Alejandro died in 2010, but his legacy lives on in Cuba; his face can be found on the box art of the Vegas Robaina, and his cigars are enjoyed by aficionados worldwide.
To honor the great Don Alejandro, Vegas Robaina named one of their most popular cigars after him. The Vegas Robaina Don Alejandro is an incredibly smooth smoke with a perfect draw and a burn that stays even throughout. This embodies all of the classic Vegas Robaina flavors that made them world renowned. It begins with very mellow creamy flavors, which then turn earthy with hints of spice peppered throughout this masterful double corona.
