Created to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the VegaFina brand, this 6.125”, 54 ring gauge, hand-rolled Dominican toro is a superb smoke. The Ecuadorian Habano wrapper is smooth and chocolate brown, with nearly invisible seams highlighting the raised natural veins of the leaf. The Indonesian binder and the Colombian, Nicaraguan, and Dominican filler give the cigar medium body smoke and a medium to strong taste.
The cold draw gives hints of peppers with a sweet finish around the foot. The first third of the cigar has a smooth, creamy taste, with mineral and pepper notes. The retrohale is flavorful, with forest notes of cedar and cypress.
The second third builds upon the flavors, deepening them and bringing out darker notes of coffee, fading into a cinnamon finish in the last third. This well-rolled cigar will burn for around 80 minutes, perfect for an after-dinner digestive or a smoke break before hitting the back 9.
