The Romeo y Julieta No. 2 Tubo is a 5.1’’ 42 ring gauge medium body Petit Corona Cuban cigar. Similar to Romeo y Julieta’s other celebrated Petit Corona format cigars, the No. 2 is medium-bodied without being overpowering, the perfect cigar to have with your morning coffee to get the day started off right.
The cold draw is complex, with numerous aromas on the nose, though notes of vanilla and coffee stand out above the rest. The first third of the cigar is pleasantly mild, with an underlying sweetness and top notes of nutty chocolate with the slightest hint of spice on the retrohale. The middle third loses the subtle spice but develops a leathery undernote with a mild savoriness on the tongue. The final third builds the intensity of the flavors, rounding out with a mild mint aftertaste.
The cigar has a smooth draw and requires few touch-ups throughout the 45 to 60-minute smoke time.
