The Rafael Gonzalez Panetelas Extras is a short Panetela rolled from fine Vuelta Abajo Cuban tobacco. The cigar is 5” long with a narrow ring gauge of 37. The wrapper is a rich light brown, with few veins and a light oily texture. The cigar was rolled by hand using short filler and should take about 40 minutes to enjoy.
The cold draw is honey-sweet with floral hints. The cigar is well rolled and smokes with a tight draw requiring few touch ups. The first third of the cigar is sweet with chocolate and nut flavors. The second third develops a richer texture, with leather and cedar flavors becoming dominant. The final third is the strongest, with earthy tones highlighted by sweet oak notes.
