Davidoff has long been known as one of the finest cigar-making brands focusing on premium tobacco and sophisticated rolling techniques. Their signature Grand Cru No.2 is a Corona with a ring gauge of 43, but it is slightly longer than a traditional Corona at 5.625”, allowing for a longer smoke time to enjoy the Dominican Ligero tobacco. It is wrapped in an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrap, with a Dominican binder and long filler.
The Grand Cru No. 2 is a mild to medium-bodied cigar. The cold draw is aromatic, with hints of spice and orange on the nose. The first third of the cigar is bold, with pepper and nutmeg flavors, with a tangy retrohale. The second third mellows the smoke, with sophisticated nut and wood flavors coming to the fore.
